An invitation for kimchi - Korean documentary by Lena Swiadek

First, I owe you, folks, a note - it is about to be one of those posts that concern traveling, adventures and far-away places, yet one of those I did not participate myself....I mean, not yet... I hope to take part in it - in another fantastic trip - even if it's going to be a trip in my mind only, at least just for now!

Korea's culture still remains for me a bit of a mystery - in fact apart from basic information about Korean government and current affairs, it is one of the exotic, yet fascinating parts of the world.

But now, one beautiful and intelligent woman, a cousin of mine, Lena Swiadek is about to totally change that image I have about Korea (and presumably, most of us, European citizens have).

Now, thanks to Lena, Korea is just about to open its secrets for my senses. And all that is possible because of Lena's amazing trip to Korea, where she was teaching English, but most importantly - she was discovering this amazing country and now is ready to share her experiences with everyone.

An invitation for kimchi ("Zaproszenie na kimchi) is Lena's first book, as well as it is the first journal written in a reportage-style, that invites us - readers and fans of traveling - for a trip of our lives with Lena Swiadek. I cannot be more excited about finally read this book, as Lena is one of those people that, when listening to, you cannot stop images from coming in to your mind.

Suddenly, you feel like you are there - in the middle of totally different from those we know, country. All of a sudden you are also getting to know and understand people you live in Korea - their politics, customs, cuisine...their lives.

I admit, I am tempted to read this book, in fact I cannot wait to get it! Today Lena has her meeting with readers in Kolporter in Rzeszow, Poland. I wish I could be there to once again listen to her and her amazing stories about Korea!
